Community Radio
In October 2013, the FCC opened new frequencies all across the country for Low Power FM radio stations. With the assistance of the Prometheus Radio Project, we have secured a frequency and been granted a construction permit.
A centrally located Low Power FM station could cover all of Murfreesboro, facilitating community conversation and local arts and culture. We plan for the antenna to be located near the square and are in the process of locating and funding studio facilities.
We are always seeking donations and volunteers.
SRCMA is not currently a 501(c)(3) and therefore donation are not tax deductible at this time. If you or someone you know are part of an existing 501(c)(3) who would be interested in taking tax deductible donations for us while we seek federal non-profit status, please contact us.
